For reasons I'm not entirely certain of, I decided to post my NaNoWriMo novel bits and pieces up here on the site, adding each daily chunk as I wrote it. This breaks one of the cardinal rules of NaNoWriMo (and novel writing in general, i.e. showing a rough first draft to readers, thereby opening the door for way-too-early feedback), but I did it anyway.
The NaNoWriMo process went well. I did have a few days where I didn't write anything, but I set my target for 2000 words per day, and some days I went over that. End result? I wrote a 66,000 word first draft manuscript in twenty-eight days.
I'm in the process of editing it now, but I'm leaving the rough chunks up here just as a reminder to myself of the intense period that was November 2009.
